A Toast to a Promise

It is such a treat to be a witness to two people making a promise to one another for a lifetime. I love weddings for the beautiful flowers, the food (yum!), music, and so on but most of all, I love when two people have made the decision to commit their lives to each other. It really is such a wonderful thing to witness.

Tom and I had the honor of celebrating Chris and Sarah at their wedding on Saturday last week. We were all praying the rain would hold out and sure enough, it did! It turned out to be a beautiful day and it was a gorgeous wedding (pictures coming soon!). We are so happy for them!

We are sad though at the same time because they are moving. They both got jobs in Hawaii!! We are so sad to see them go, we will miss them! They are two really wonderful people! They have told us to come visit so we'll just have to take them up on it:) We wish them the best of luck and are so excited for them and their new adventures!

Yesterday, we celebrated a very special little guy's birthday. Brady will be 1 on June 29th but his parents had a party for him a little early. Gloria enjoyed hanging with her friends. :) She enjoyed swimming and eating watermelon! Two of her favorite things. Again, the forecast was calling for rain but they lucked out and it was a perfect day! We had such a good time! Check out our June Album for more photos.

If you remember, my friend and business partner Lauren and I made cupcakes for Gloria's first birthday. Well, we were hired to do cupcakes for Brady's birthday. Check out some of our creations. We had a lot of fun with these! :) This is just a small part of what we are doing for our new business. More to come on that in another post.

Besides weddings and birthday parties, we've been busy around the house. We finally got our vegetable garden planted and I've been working hard on the flower garden. I still have a lot to do but its getting there. If the weather would cooperate, we could get a lot more done outside.

We are looking forward to the holiday weekend! We have lots of parties to attend and we are excited about seeing our family and friends. Have a happy and safe 4th of July!!
