So Much Love!

I love that Gloria was able to "help" with making some Valentine's Day treats this year. We had a lot of fun with various crafts and goodies. We made cards for Gloria's grandparents using an idea from Family Fun. They have a ton of cute crafts. And, of course, I'm a little partial to Family Fun since they were my neighbors at Wondertime for 2 years:)

Gloria and I also made heart-shaped sugar cookies together which was fun! We were doing great cutting out the cookies until Gloria started to try and eat all the cookie dough! haha I can't say I blame the girl...cookie dough is yummy! On a side note, I didn't actually make the cookie dough. I have to give my brother Jon all the credit since he made it. He just does such a good job! After they were all baked, we packaged up the cookies and gave the little goody bags to Gloria's friends:) They were mini hearts so they were the perfect size for little toddler hands.

I continued on my baking kick that day. I made red velvet cupcakes to give away and I was asked to make a cake for Meghan's 2nd birthday, photos to come later. The house was filled with yummy smells of cake and cookies! Mmm....

Saturday was our day to celebrate Valentine's Day as a family. I made heart-shaped scones (also a Family Fun idea) to go along with breakfast. I had to use raspberries instead of cranberries and...well...they didn't look quite as pretty as in the photo! lol But, they still tasted good! Gloria loved hers...she gobbled it up:)

Since Tom had the weekend off, we planned a special night out together while G stayed at Gramma and Papa's house for the night. We love our little girl, and we had a great day with her but it was time for some husband and wife quality time:) We went to see Edge of Darkness at the theaters and then had a fabulous meal at The Night Kitchen at the Montague Bookmill. SO good! Incredible service and the food was delicious!

I don't usually post a photo of just us anymore. So here we are. After a romantic night out together:)

Sunday, Valentine's Day, we picked Gloria up from church and spent the rest of the day together as a family. It was truly the perfect way to spend the day. We even had a chance to go visit my grandfather for a bit.

To see more photos, visit our Valentine's Day album. We've also added some new pics to our February album.

Our little Valentine all dressed up in her heart outfit:)

Before I sign off, I want to take a moment to remember my grandmother, Gloria LaPlante. She died 2 years ago yesterday. It still feels like it happened only yesterday. I was just telling Tom about some of the things that remind me of her. Things like African Violets, pedometers, the beach, tag sales, running water and our very own little Gloria. Although my grandmother never met our little G, every time I say her name, I think of my Gramma. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't think of Gramma and miss her dearly. I love her so much and wish she were here still today. But, I know she is with God and is always with me in spirit. Love you Gramma!
