Leo is two and a half weeks old at this point and he is doing so well! What an easy going, sweet boy he is! He is sleeping really well, nursing great and just all around a beautiful little guy!
We took Leo to his 2 week appointment on Tuesday and he had a perfect report! He has started to gain some weight from his 1 week appointment which is good. He also grew a half inch! He is in the high 80th percentiles for both his weight and height.
We are so proud of our sweet Leo James! He is one very special little man. We couldn't be happier!

Our Precocious Girl
Precocious. That is the word Gloria's doctor used to describe our little girl. I think its a good word. :) She is developing so quickly and is really just such a smart little kid.
Gloria had her 2-year check up with the doctor on Tuesday. Our bean is now 36" tall (97%) and 25 1/4 lbs (54%). She is doing super well! The visit went well. Gloria even started giving the doctor snuggles! What kid does that with their doctor? haha Gloria just loves her doctor! According to the doc, Gloria is a "dream" patient. She was so cooperative with each and every step. We are so very proud of our little girl! She was amazing with her vaccines too. Upset for only a minute and then she was off searching through the treasure chest for a "prize!"
One of my favorite parts of the visit was when Gloria was checking out all the doctor's equipment. She was very curious about the stethoscope. The doctor let G listen to her own heart. Boy did she think that was cool!! She kept asking to "please hear it again" referring to her heart. It was cute!
The next time Gloria goes for a regular check up won't be until she is 3! We are sad we won't get to see her doctor until then (hopefully no sick visits in between). We are so grateful for her health!
In other Gloria news, we've finally settled on a daycare. Gloria will be attending Ja'Duke Preschool in Turners Falls. Its a fantastic school and we are thrilled that Gloria will be attending. When we visited, Gloria fit right in! We're lucky they have a spot open in September. She will love it! And we love what it has to offer in terms of education, the arts and development. We are really looking forward to it for her. It is time for her to have the opportunity to make new friends and have some new and exciting experiences. Yay!! *sniff. sniff.* :)

Growing Like a Weed!
Gloria had her 18 month appointment last week and boy has she grown! She is 34 inches tall now...she grew over 2 inches since her 15 month appointment. She is now in the 97th percentile for height. Crazy! She is going to be tall just like her daddy:) We are so proud of her weight gain too. She weighs just over 24 lbs...finally over the 50th percentile for weight. She hasn't been over 50% since she was born!
The doctor says Gloria is doing so well. She was really impressed with how friendly Gloria was and how much she was imitating words and actions. In fact, Gloria picked up the play stethoscope in the exam room and put it around her neck just like how the doctor was wearing it:) She is one smart cookie!
In other developments, Gloria has expanded her vocabulary in just a few weeks. We are blown away! We have to be very careful what we say around her now. haha She is repeating us all the time.
We are so proud of our little girl! She makes us smile every day:) The time is flying by though! I can't believe that her next appointment isn't until she is 2 years old! I'm not quite ready for her to be old enough where I start telling people her age in years rather than months!

Our String Bean
Gloria's 15 month appointment was today. Hard to believe...already 15 months!! The doctor was very happy with her development and growth. Our little girl certainly put on a show for the doctor too:) Gloria was being her friendly self and was even asking the doctor to sit with her and read stories. It was too funny. Gloria is a very social and happy kid.
Growth-wise she is doing super. She is 22 lb, 9oz and 31.75 inches long. 46% for weight and 85% for height. Our little string bean:) Once again, she had to get shots at the end of the appointment and goodness gracious...I hate them! Not more than Gloria does I'm sure. Poor kid. She did great though. She bounced back pretty quickly afterward.
Our GEM is growing into quite an amazing kid. We are so very proud of her!
