We're extremely lucky. Tom and I both have pretty wonderful fathers! They are devoted dads and grandfathers. We are so blessed to have them in our lives!
Gloria and I had a fun time with my parents yesterday celebrating my dad's birthday and Father's Day. We had breakfast together and then spent some time at the park afterwards, Gloria's favorite thing to do! Later in the evening, we had the family over for cake and ice cream to celebrate! Today, after stopping to wish my dad a Happy Father's Day, we headed to Tom's parent's house for dinner and to wish Dave a Happy Father's Day too! It was a beautiful day to have a BBQ and spend some time outdoors together. Since Tom had to work today, we have to postpone Tom's Father's Day event until another day but he did get some goodies from Gloria. :)
Gloria made crowns for her grandfathers and her daddy for Father's Day. After all, they are all royalty in our hearts! :) Gloria always says that her daddy is her prince and I have to agree! Gloria loves her daddy so much! Tom is an amazing dad and Gloria is one lucky little girl. Our little guy will be the luckiest little boy too!

A Father's Love
Today was Father's Day. A day to take a moment to let our dads know how much we appreciate and love them. I like to think we do that every day though. :)
Gloria loves her daddy! She likes to tell him often..."wuv you daddy!" I love hearing her say that to him! The best part is that Gloria's love for her daddy is returned tenfold. She is one lucky kid! Tom is a wonderful father and loves his little girl more than anything! I love watching him with Gloria. He takes time to teach her new things. He is so loving with her. Always full of hugs and kisses. He is patient, sensitive and loves to snuggle with her! :) He shows his love for her in the little things he does everyday. Thank you Tom for being an amazing father to Gloria! I love you and I love the father you are to our little G!
Two more very special dads in our lives are my dad and Dave. You both mean the world to us and we love you very much! Thank you for being our dads! What would we ever do without our biggest supporters?! To my dad, thank you for loving and encouraging me over the years. I know you are my number one fan and I hope you know that I am yours as well! :)

Celebrating Dad
Sunday was all about our dads. It was such a great day to get together with our fathers in celebration of who they are and how much they mean to us.
Tom and his dad celebrated together in true McDonald style, they participated in a father/son golf tournament. I don't think there is any other way Dave would like to spend father's day than to be out on the golf course:) They certainly had some great weather for it, with exception of a brief rain episode. It was a long day of golf, from 10:30 until 4:30!
While Dave and Tom were out golfing, my family came over for lunch. In addition to Father's Day, we were celebrating my dad's birthday which was yesterday, June 18th. We had a BBQ with steak and catfish and for dessert, my mom made strawberry shortcake...one of my favorite summertime desserts!!
Our hope was that Tom and Dave would have finished golfing early enough to join us, but alas, that didn't happen. Although we missed them, it was such a great visit with my grandparents and parents. Bridgette enjoyed all her visitors too! She ate up all the attention she was getting.
While Dave, Irene and Tom couldn't make it for lunch, we decided to all get together here at the house for dinner instead. It was a last minute thing but sometimes that is the best way to go! We ate outside and enjoyed the gorgeous weather. After dessert, we took the dogs for a walk...just barely missing the rain!
I hope that Dave, my dad and my grandfather all enjoyed their Father's Day! To all you other daddy's out there, we hope you had the perfect Father's Day as well! Happy Father's Day, a few days late:)
