Family Photos

Hard to believe our family photo shoot was about 6 months ago! We had photographer Elisabeth Millay from New York photograph our little family at Clarkdale Apple Orchard back in October. She did an amazing job and really captured Gloria's personality and charm. I haven't shared the link to the photos mostly because I keep forgetting. :)

Family Photos

Last year, a photographer friend of mine took some photos of Tom, G and I. We had such a fun time and really loved the photos! Actually, now that I think of it, I don't think I ever posted those. Hm. I'll have to look into that. We did use some for our Christmas cards and as gifts so some of you have seen them.

Well, this year, we wanted to do the same thing. I know I get to take pictures of Gloria all the time but it is nice when someone else can capture our family on film. :)

We did the photo shoot at Clarkdale Farm, which is close to our house. It was a gorgeous day! I love doing a very laid back and relaxed photo shoot. The photos come out so much more natural and really tell a story. This year, we hired a photographer from New York who I'm familiar with. I met her through our event planning business. I loved her work so much I asked if she could do our family photos this year. She visits family out this way so we had some scheduling to figure out but it all came together.

The photographer has posted a sneak peek on her blog of some of the photos she took of Gloria. Oh boy did they come out great! I can't wait to see the rest!! Take a look at Elisabeth Millay's Blog to see more photos.

One of my favorites!

Baby Blue

Recently I had the pleasure of photographing an adorable little baby boy. When Tom's cousin Amy asked me to take photos of her and her husband's little guy, I was so flattered and very excited to help!

This was my first time taking photos of a newborn as a "job" so to speak. I didn't really do many posed photos of Gloria when she was this little and I regret it. This was a fun experience! Its got me thinking about photographing more newborns! :) Although I wish I had done some more poses with James. Hopefully I will get the opportunity to photograph him again. In fact, I'm going to a baby shower on Saturday for James, Amy and David. I'm sure I'll sneak in a few shots then:)

Without further ado, Baby James.
