I recently had a very vivid and wonderful dream. I know I've shared a few of my dreams before and I try not to go overboard but I felt this one was worth sharing.
It was a dream where I was in another world so to speak. Wherever I was, it was warm and safe. It was very quiet. Everything was so still and peaceful. Not in the creepy way.
It seemed as though this place had an orange glow about it. The land around was dry. Like a dessert. But I did notice vegetation everywhere. I didn't feel as though we lacked anything. It was quite beautiful in fact.
During most of my dream, I am with some people. I don't know who these people are but I feel close to them. I'm not afraid either. They are helping me find someone. For some reason I was looking for a person I think. A person of importance. The people I was with were helping me with my journey. A few of them joined me. I want to say it was a woman we were looking for. Or maybe she was the person who was going to help us find someone else? I'm not sure.
The rest of the dream is hazy. I can't remember if I found who I was looking for or not. I do remember being very happy and I knew that this place was important.
When I told Tom this dream last night, I had just thought of it as a dream about living on another planet. It most definitely was not Earth. I just remember it made me feel really good. Then he said something that made me think. "Maybe it was a dream about Heaven?" Hm. I hadn't really thought of that. Maybe it was Heaven? I don't know.
I know the dream seems basic. Sounds simple and odd really. It gave me an unbelievably wonderful feeling. A sense of peace and hope. There was a positive energy in that dream. Something I haven't had much of lately. So much has changed over these past two years. I'm still trying to grasp some sort of identity. I feel as though this dream was about helping me find that identity somehow.
I guess the dream could be interpreted in many ways. Maybe I need to reconnect with God? Something not surprising to me. I haven't been exactly true to my faith in recent years. Just coasting through. I've been trying to work on it but I do need to focus more.
The one dream, which realistically lasted only a few seconds, has given me some things to think about long term. Funny how dreams are. I suppose some people brush them off. I can't seem to do that. I have this sense that my dreams, some of them anyway, are important. I think I'll take this one seriously.
What now? I don't know. I suppose I'll have to sleep on it.
