Extra sleep is a great gift in my book!

I hope you mothers out there had a great Mother's Day yesterday! We had a lovely weekend on our end. We had a chance to spend time with our mothers and do something special at home as well.

On Friday, Tom and I took my parents to the Lord of the Dance show at Springfield Symphony Hall. It was a really cool show! Tom says he was surprised how good it was! But I'm not suppose to tell you that he said that! Oops! ;) We had a great time with my parents. It was a gift to my mom for her birthday and worked out well that we could celebrate Mother's Day too!

Saturday we had Tom's parents over for dinner for an early Mother's Day celebration. We had a great meal and had fun visiting. Dave and Irene have a lot of house projects taking place right now so I think having some time at our house for dinner was a welcomed break. :)

Yesterday we kept it pretty low-key around here. I've been super busy with cake orders and some Eutopia business stuff so a quiet day yesterday was welcome. When Tom asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day, I told him I wanted to sleep in (as long as my Gloria would let me) and would love it if he made breakfast. :) As you know, breakfast is my favorite meal!

I got to sleep until 8:30am (yay!) and I was woken up by Gloria as she handed me my Mother's Day card and said "Happy Mother's Day mommy!" It was the best way to start the day! Tom made delicious homemade pancakes, the Feather-light Pancakes in fact. :) So good! He then took me and Gloria to the open air market in town to pick out some flowers for our garden. Another favorite of mine! I can't wait to get them planted!

It was a great weekend! It ended with Craig coming up to our house last night for dinner. He stayed over night because he, Tom and Dave have a golf tournament today. It is a very cold and windy day to be golfing! Hopefully they do really well. This tournament has been a tradition for many years. I know they all enjoy doing it together. And as always, its great to see our good friend Craig! :)

That's it for now. I have another post on its way and LOTS of photos to post. I'm so far behind. More to come soon!
