The gift bags

After a long week of prepping....we were ready to party. We have hosted a Christmas party for the last 5 years and it is always a good time! We invite our friends over early in December to kick off the holiday season. This year, like every year, we indulged in good food, good wine and great company! We even had some little party goers who were joining us in the holiday spirit...the kids were so cute! We love Christmas parties and enjoy hosting this event every year. Of course...I love entertaining anyway but Christmas is especially exciting for me.
Some of you may remember that last year we asked our guests to bring a toy to donate to Toys for Tots. We had a pretty good turn out and decided it was important to do something similar again this year. We asked our guests to vote for one charity to focus on and Warm the Children was the charity of choice. I set up a donation station in our office and people could make their donations throughout the night. Thank you to everyone who made a donation! We really had a great turn out. I don't know what we collected yet but will keep you posted once I find out.
The Donation Station
We started to do donations at our Christmas party because this is really what the holiday season is about, giving. We have so much to be grateful for and there are so many people who don't even have winter clothes or jackets. It is important for us to remember to do our part to help those people in need. Of course, helping out isn't just a seasonal thing, we hope that people will continue to think about making donations all year long to either Warm the Children, food pantries, good will, ect.
If you haven't made a donation yet and would like to, you can send it to:
The Recorder Warm the Children Fund
P.O. Box 1367, 14 Hope Street
Greenfield, Ma 01302
Visit our Christmas Album to see pictures from the party. Below are a few pictures from the event.

We want to thank all of our guests for making this year's Christmas party a successful one. We had such a great time with everyone! We wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Our next party will be our family get together on December 21st (which happens to be my birthday as well as my mom's). We are really looking forward to having both my family and Tom's family over for some Christmas celebrating!
