Ho Ho Ho!!

Yesterday I took Gloria to see Santa for the first time this year. She was a bit hesitant at first but warmed up after a few minutes. Good thing there weren't a lot of people waiting to see Santa, it gave her some time to think about talking to him. I think it also helped that we ran into Kerri, Ella and Olivia. My favorite quote from Gloria after we left was "Santa is my best friend of the world!" :) She is so darn cute! She was over the moon excited that she got to see Santa!

The season has brought so many fun activities and adventures for our family recently. Last weekend we hosted a kids Christmas party. There were seven kids total and four adults. It worked out perfectly! The kids had a great time. We made an ornament craft, gingerbread houses and ended the evening with a story, The Grinch Who Stole Christmas of course. :)

Typically we host an adult party but this year we opted to do the kid party. I really wanted to give them a night for themselves. It also allowed for the adults to get some Christmas shopping done or whatever else they needed to do. I'd love to do it again next year! Big thanks to Lauren and Liz for all your help!! You two are the best "elves" ever!! :)

We did end up hosting an after party for our "elves" and their significant others who helped during the party. Craig and Katy also made the trip up. We had pizza and kept it really simple. It was great to catch up and enjoy an evening at home with some of our best friends.

This weekend has been mostly about prepping for the holiday. Lots of baking, shopping and wrapping. We are officially ready for Christmas! We ended the night tonight by getting some hot chocolate and taking a drive around the neighborhood to look at lights. It was so nice to spend a quiet evening together to take in the sights of Christmas. Gloria especially loved all the displays!

At some point I'll get some photos posted from our recent adventures.

We hope you had a beautiful weekend!
