Last Sunday was my friend (and co-worker) Lauren's wedding (visit Lauren and Mike's Wedding Album for photos). It was a beautiful day considering it had rained the few days before. She really lucked out! She deserved to have a perfect day for her wedding and she got it. Mike and her have been together since they were 16 years old! Their wedding had been a long time coming! The wedding was at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, Mass. It had so much character and history. What a great spot! Lauren did a lot for her own wedding, including making her own cake! Reminds me of my cousin Heather who did the same thing! Crazy I tell ya! It came out beautiful though! What a fun day!
Friday was a big day at work for all of us at Wondertime. We finished up the last issue of 2008! It was the first year we had gone to 10 issues a year. It was a very, very, VERY busy year! We've all worked so hard to produce a quality magazine in a shorter amount of time. We basically have 4 weeks to put out each issue of the magazine. There is a lot of work to do in those 4 weeks! To celebrate the momentous occasion, the company put on a party for all of us at the office. Family members were invited to come so, Tom brought Gloria down. It was a fun evening. There was a pretty large crowd there between all the employees and their kids. Wondertime magazine is truly a labor of love and we hope that is evident in the magazine.
Speaking of the magazine, I have to be a proud mommy and tell you that our own baby girl will make her debut in the magazine in the December/January 2009 issue. The issue won't hit the stands until mid-November but I'm so excited that she got to be a part of the magazine. So keep a look out!
This weekend was a family weekend for us. We went out to breakfast Saturday at the Four Leaf Clover in Bernardston. I love going out for breakfast, its my favorite meal! Its been a while since we've gone out for breakfast so it was a real treat. Gloria was pretty content. After she visited with some of the people at the restaurant, she took a nap. She is just so good! It was nice to be able to enjoy breakfast together.
Later that afternoon we went for a walk around the Greenfield swimming pool. Our original quest was to check out some old spots we hadn't been to since Tom and I first got together. Instead, we just strolled around on some paths along the river. (There was a large group of people having a party there so we decided to walk around a bit and then head back home.) We'll go back again soon. Tom got to play with my digital SLR a bit while we were walking around. He is still learning but he took some very nice photos. Check out Tom's photos in Our Family Album.

Its been a beautiful fall week so far! I can't believe we've gotten to this season already. We are looking forward to doing all sorts of fall activities this year as a family. Gloria is a bit young to participate in a lot right now but she sure does like to look around! So we'll entertain her visual curiosity by going apple picking, maybe go for a hay ride and hopefully go hiking. Its such a beautiful time of year and we can't wait to introduce Gloria to all of the wonderful things that come with it.
We hope you are enjoying the season so far!
Great pictures Ruthie! I can't wait to see Gloria in Wondertime!!!!
