Quench Your Thirst

One of the simplest ways to cut down on waste is to buy a heavy duty water bottle to reuse. Tom bought me one for Christmas a few years back and I use it every day! Over 40 MILLION water bottles are wasted every day. Please take a moment to read an article posted on MSNBC about Plastic Bottles.

If you want to purchase a water bottle, you can visit LLBean's web site. They have Nalgene bottles that are great! They are less that $15 (including shipping) for one and they come in a variety of colors. Reusable water bottles are sold all over the place so there are plenty of options...Target, Walmart, Eddie Bauer, etc. Just be sure the number on the bottom (within the triangular recycle symbol) is a 2, 4 or 5. Those are the numbers that are safe to use for water.

How simple is that? Buy a water bottle and reuse it every day. Take it to work, on a walk, grocery shopping, road trip, etc. I take mine with me pretty much wherever I go. You not only save on waste but you also save money...which is very important too!

Happy Monday folks!
